Kentwool Golf Sock

 
Over the past couple of months, life at KENTWOOL has been dominated by the launch of our new KENTWOOL TOUR golf apparel brand, and the world’s best golf socks.  And as part of my own evolution, I’ve spent a lot more time on twitter and Facebook during that critical start-up phase than "blogging”!  But, I’m fired-up by a host of other KENTWOOL corporate initiatives that I want to shed a little light on – so expect to hear more from me (again) on this main KENTWOOL corporate site.

For the first time in months, we are seeing some stabilization and even modest upswings in other KENTWOOL market sectors associated with our yarn spinning operation (thank goodness).  Long-time customers such as Smartwool, St. John and Loro Piana continue to be strong partners for KENTWOOL.

Likewise, our commitment to innovation is "unending” per our vision statement.  Some new and ongoing developments include wool-based next-of-skin, multi-layered military clothing, with field trials underway in multiple locations under every imaginable condition.  This area holds great promise for our continually diversifying company.  If testing and development continue to go well, we will be investing in new processes and equipment at our SC manufacturing center.

As you probably know, April is "green” month.  Sustainability will continue to be an important part of our mission to become the premier wool innovation company in the world.  The solar power strategy launched last year has been so successful that we hope to expand the system in the future – and we’re doing feasibility studies regarding solar panel installations on our roof to complement the free standing units already in place.
