2010 PGA Show
The KENTWOOL team is getting ready for the 2010 PGA Merchandising Show and the official 2/1/10 launch of the world’s best golf sock – developed by KENTWOOL TOUR.
As a lifelong entrepreneur, I’m truly excited about our first direct to consumer product and sales effort. We’re currently featured in Golf World Magazine, and are already getting an extraordinary response from folks across the country. And, as part of our multi-faceted integrated marketing strategies, I’m personally embracing the new frontier of social media. What a learning experience!
Two months ago I had no idea what a "tweet” was, now I find myself anticipating two-way conversations with golf professionals and everyday people whose golf games will benefit from our products. Just last week, Bubba Watson asked our newest PGA pro, Kevin Johnson, about KENTWOOL TOUR and requested a pair of socks via Twitter from me, @golfsockguy.
It’s a very cool thing watching social media at work building our brand’s credibility!
Working with industry experts, we’ve formulated a solid strategy and now have a presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Even before our official e-commerce site launch, we’ve grown our Facebook fan base to 434.
I’m really looking forward to the PGA Show – as it gives KENTWOOL TOUR the opportunity for a soft launch of our socks and quality interactions with some of the top golf brands and golfers.
