How do I care for my Kentwools?
Care instructions are located on the inside of the sock package for your convenience. You threw away the package in a fit of joy? No worries, here are all the instructions you will need:
Turn socks inside out and machine wash in cold or warm water. Air dry for best results. If you prefer to use a dryer, cycle on low heat only. Do not use fabric softeners- it will coat the wool fibers and reduce their ability to manage moisture and regulate body temperature. No bleach or bleach additives as it damages the fine wool fibers.
Is all hope lost if my Kentwools shrunk?
Good news, probably not! Rinse your socks again in cold water, stretch them gently, and let them air dry. They should then be as good as new! But next time make sure you follow the care instructions above.
Is all hope lost if I washed my Kentwools with fabric softener or bleach?
Bad news, probably. Wool, particularly Merino, is a wonderful and luxurious natural fiber. With all that wonder and luxury though comes a bit of delicacy not found in other natural or synthetic fibers. The damage done by chemicals found things like fabric softener and bleach generally cannot be undone. While it's time to shop for a new pair of socks to wear, there are lots of great ways you can still use the damaged Kentwools.
How long should my Kentwools last?
This is a tricky question which varies greatly from customer to customer based on wear and care. Generally speaking, with regular wear and proper care, your Kentwool garments should last:
Socks: 15 - 18 months
Boxer briefs: Triblend: 7-10 months Durabull: (10-12 months)
Tees: 24 months
